PRESENTATION

CAPOEIRA REGIONAL

Capoeira Regional was created in 1946 by master Manoel Dos Reis Machado in the state of Bahia in Salvador. The Master Bimba was baptized into capoeira in 1900. Capoeira is still called "sport brasileiro" or "Brazilian martial art" is, in fact, a rich artistic expression, a mixture of combat and dance, which is part of the cultural brasileiro. Some masters believe that it was a creation of the African slaves in Brazil, namely in Angola there was a fairly violent ritual called "game of the zebra" where blacks were fighting using movements with the head and legs and the winners, as a reward, had the most beautiful girl of the tribe. The first African slaves arrived in Brazil, capoeira easily learned, so-called blacks "bantos" of Angola. In the ghetto, blacks had to fight in the mask dance, with the integration of musical instruments and movements synchronized by practicing without a suspect. Even after the abolition of slavery, capoeristas were harassed by police and seen evil from society. The yoke of capoeira is one of the most fascinating aspects of Brazilian culture. It 's a mix of fight, dance, acrobatics and fun. The capoeirista is an athlete, dancer, musician, poet and lifelong commitment to the Brazilian culture and its roots.
