PRESENTATION

CAPOEIRA REGIONAL

Capoeira Regional was created in 1946 by master Manoel Dos Reis Machado in the state of Bahia in Salvador. The Master Bimba was baptized into capoeira in 1900. Capoeira is still called "sport brasileiro" or "Brazilian martial art" is, in fact, a rich artistic expression, a mixture of combat and dance, which is part of the cultural brasileiro. Some masters believe that it was a creation of the African slaves in Brazil, namely in Angola there was a fairly violent ritual called "game of the zebra" where blacks were fighting using movements with the head and legs and the winners, as a reward, had the most beautiful girl of the tribe. The first African slaves arrived in Brazil, capoeira easily learned, so-called blacks "bantos" of Angola. In the ghetto, blacks had to fight in the mask dance, with the integration of musical instruments and movements synchronized by practicing without a suspect. Even after the abolition of slavery, capoeristas were harassed by police and seen evil from society. The yoke of capoeira is one of the most fascinating aspects of Brazilian culture. It 's a mix of fight, dance, acrobatics and fun. The capoeirista is an athlete, dancer, musician, poet and lifelong commitment to the Brazilian culture and its roots.

BARBARA ERRICO: CD "Lazarev IN JAZZ"

This project was born as a tribute to Blanche Dubois, an artist who has been my privilege and pleasure to know in the music festival Friulana "Songs of the border" - which was made into a CD - review of Sergio who was Artistic Director.

I also participated, singing his song "It was summer," the recording of the CD "Cjantant Lazarev, including pieces chosen from the same original Blanche Dubois, in the Friulian language adapted from Alberto Zeppieri and musical arrangements maintained by the Master Valter Sivilotti, this record has Endrigo interventions on some tracks. With this project I wanted to revive some of his songs in a jazz style, trying to do so in a discreet and respectful and I am confident to say that Bruno Cesselli, with its refined arrangements, has captured the spirit of my intention ! The passion for the songs of Sergio goes back to my childhood, a time when I listened to your songs together with my mother, a great lover of his songs and it is perhaps for this reason that I wanted to dedicate this project to the revaluation of a great artist of our Italian music, which Sergio was an artist, as we all know, lately underestimated - if not forgotten - by the record companies and Media. I am convinced, however, that Sergio His audience did, because His music is not so refined can not meet people's hearts, but this I have already been confirmed during concerts in which I brought your songs.

Claudia Endrigo I've always been close and encouraged me to pursue this project, giving me advice and valuable material; all the musicians who participated with great enthusiasm and professionalism.

Corner Club, a name that now resonates throughout Udine, almost an institution. Yet it all started in the simplest way and perhaps some will remember this well: a local impresario, in our century Moreno Mico, was designed to showcase the regional music in his shop. The idea was straightforward: to demonstrate that in the area there is not only folk music and break down some stereotypes on the supposed provincialism. But every year, almost like a living being, this showcase is expanded and arrived at the highest artistic peak. It was in fact born Angle Club as we know it, a view from a different perspective on music, not multiple entities as it may seem distant from our land instead of the big event.

And here we are again, six years later to once again offer the same space, the same collection of good music hidden by the shadow of what the majors say we should appeal . But you need to repeat past successes, the many artists who have trod this stage of the very quality achieved in the last season? Anyone who has attended even one number of appointments could experience firsthand the level that can reach such a small initiative, which are artistic gems hidden among us simply unknown.

We are here not just to applaud the success of this initiative, but to assert our proximity to this kind of culture increasingly at risk, to defend a sword. Because not everyone is satisfied with hits, blockbusters and Moccia. Not all recline in front of an intellectual dullness that has always characterized the extreme decadence of a civilization. Very little is needed to support a world with much to offer the community: buy some Book, some cd or just listen to these voices out of the ordinary, a diversity of poetic and sounds that can only do good in the globalized mass of thought that some hypocritical still has the courage to call art. Art is emotion, art is creativity, art is the inward movement that moves our lives, which makes it more bearable existence, that gives meaning to our inner selves, our unique ability to feel the emotion , certainly not those pieces of feelings that we trimmed today.

But as important as everything that nothing is more than you: the affectionate audience at a small weekly demonstration. With your contribution and affection you have shown that the efforts have earned him something, as is also nice to hear quell'oretta expense of people like us, like you.

Here is the new season opens. Michele Pirona, Armando Battiston, Funambolique, these and many more await you in this little club built to give voice to the reality or almost unknown. See you all on Oct. 16 with Barbara Errico, at 18:30, again on the corner of Music.
